Everist is a waterless haircare brand that sells its concentrated shampoos and conditioners in recyclable metal tubes.
These tubes come with a pin to help extract all the contents from them, thus helping to avoid wasting product when the tube is recycled. The customer places the pin over the top of the tube and folds downwards to squeeze out the shampoo or conditioner.
The brand has a strong focus on sustainability. Its products are waterless to reduce the environmental impact of shipping. As a result, they are three times more concentrated than other shampoos and conditioners. In a video on its website, the brand demonstrates how much to use depending on the customer’s hair length, and how to create a lather in the bath or shower to activate the product.
Its aluminium tubes are fully recyclable, although the yellow plastic lids are not. Instead, the brand encourages customers to store the used lids in a small bag that is sent to them and to post it to them when ten lids have been collected. The lids will then be cleaned and reused.
