Waitrose has launched Supper Clubs in 42 of its UK supermarkets to differentiate its offer from its rivals and create a memorable product trialling opportunity.

In locations around the country, customers can enjoy a three course meal with table service, while getting to meet other food enthusiasts.

Waitrose has invited a rotating roster of local chefs to develop menus for the Supper Clubs using ingredients available in-store. Each course includes a pairing with a Waitrose wine.

The experience is created in collaboration with social dining platform WeFiFo, which allows users to find local dinner parties to join. Anyone wanting to join the Supper Clubs can do so through the WeFiFo app, or the Waitrose website.

Waitrose & Partners head of hospitality Rebecca Hemsley said: “Our supper clubs are one of the many ways we’re bringing innovative and unique services to our customers which aren’t provided by other supermarkets. These events not only showcase the talented chefs we have here in the UK, but also what’s available in our shops. It’s a fantastic opportunity for guests to enjoy new dishes and be inspired to recreate them using ingredients they may not have tried before.”
