Unpaint is a removable paint that peels off of most surfaces

Multidisciplinary Colombian innovation company Glasst has released Unpaint, a multi-surface removable paint that users can peel off walls, furniture and other surfaces using simply their hands.

Users take their brush, roller or airless sprayer, apply Glasst’s Unpaint to the surfaces they wish to cover and then allow it to dry. Drying can take between 30 minutes to several days, depending on the thickness of the application. Once dry, the paint can be easily removed by hand with no special tools required. The company says the paint works on a huge variety of surfaces, including everything from concrete to brick, cobblestones, wood, metal, glass, plastic, stucco and more.

Unpaint offers a smart way for renters to spice up their rental homes, with over 57 colours available. It provides a flexible solution for those who want to personalise their living spaces without making a long-term commitment. For set or store designers running pop-ups and events, the paint also peels off after two or three days, making it suitable for shorter applications.

The paint is free of volatile organic compounds and is biodegradable. It can cut down CO2 emissions by up to 11 kilos for every kilo of paint used. It is currently priced at $30 per quart, while a gallon of the removable paint is priced at $60.
