Social media platform TikTok has opened TikTok For You House, a pop-up space at Westfield London at which various influencers will teach aspiring TikTokers how to improve their craft.
The two-storey space has been designed to replicate a home, with different activities taking place in each room. The Living Room, boasting a large television screen, will host sessions on how to edit content. In the Kitchen, popular food TikTokers will showcase their viral recipes and challenge visitors to cook-offs. The Dressing Room will cover all things fashion and beauty, inviting visitors to take on various challenges, while The Garden will host sport and dance influencers teaching visitors how to do viral moves and tricks.
Visitors will be able to book free sessions at the pop-up to use the space to create their own mini-films. Sessions with influencers will cost £7.
Also taking place at the For You House pop-up are sessions for parents. As the space is predominantly aimed at helping teens and children to create better content, TikTok is also running sessions for parents on safeguarding to help keep children safe while they use the platform.
Holly Harrison, fashion and retail brand partnerships, TikTok, said: “Creators are at the very heart of the TikTok experience, and to be able to celebrate them once again in real life with this incredible activation at Westfield London is a unique chance for our community to see the For You feed brought to life. The experience of video and retail are becoming increasingly intertwined.”
