Tetra Pak introduces connected packaging with built-in sustainability games

In mid 2024, Tetra Pak launched a packaging initiative to embed QR codes on its products that would link consumers to interactive games promoting sustainability.

The games focus on different eco topics like recycling and environmental conservation. It features three games: a collector game to encourage users to collect as many Tetra Pak packages as possible while avoiding hazards; a memory game in which players must match the recycling-themed playing cards within a set time limit; and a quiz game to test general knowledge about sustainability.

The campaign targets consumers across several European countries. The goal is to increase consumer awareness and engagement with sustainability issues while gaining valuable data on preferences and comprehension of sustainability.

By adding a fun, educational component, Tetra Pak seeks to influence consumers’ recycling habits and environmental consciousness.
