Men’s streetwear clothing brand Homecore has designed its new store on the Champs-Élysées as an ode to colour.

The space is inspired by the legendary logo from spray can brand Krylon and amplifies Homecore’s Color Therapy concept, which centres around its clothes using bright combinations of colours.

The location has seven window arches on its storefront that are said to act as openings to Newton’s prism. A bold red, blue or yellow burst of colour leads into the store from each window arch. As these lines intersect, they create a kaleidoscope of colour on the floor, which includes orange, purple and green sections, alongside the original colours.

The bold lines of colour extend over the store’s inbuilt furniture and past hanging clothes to create illusions of space in the 100m2 store.

The store’s arched front mirror-trimmed windows bounce light and the colours inside the store, while each window features a part of the brand’s slogan. One window says ‘peace’, another ‘love’, another ‘unity’ and another says ‘having fun’.

Homecore is one of France’s original streetwear brands, established more than 25 years ago. Stephane Malka of Studio Malka, the agency behind the design, has a background steeped in graffiti. He said: “Colour gives structure to the space, just like a material. It’s indeed a check to graffiti, but also a declaration of love to the “Peace, Love, Unity and Having Fun” fundamental statements of this brand culture.”
