British footwear designer Charlotte Olympia has partnered with on demand taxi service Uber to create Uber Shoes.
The £695 ($911) cost of the designer stiletto shoes includes £500 ($655) of Uber credit, meaning that the shoe wearer need not walk in them. Each pair of shoes is packaged in an Uber branded box and has a soft leather tag embossed with a unique Uber credit code. The credit is redeemable against all services available on the Uber app.
Available only at Harvey Nichols’ London flagship, the limited-edition run of 14 pairs feature an ultra-high, ultra-glittery platform. “My brand motto is ‘The higher the heel, the better you feel’,” said Olympia. “And now you can guarantee that you and your dancing shoes will be looked after when going from party to party this holiday season with the touch of an app.”
