Spoutible is an anti-hate social media platform similar to Twitter

Social media platform Spoutible is designed to allow users to ‘spout off’ without fear of harassment, aiming to recapture the carefree attitude of the early years of the internet.

It was created by former Twitter employee Christopher Bouzy, who is the inventor of Bot Sentinel. Backed by Bouzy’s proprietary analytics bot, Spoutible aims to track misinformation, inauthentic behaviour and targeted trolling, while also stopping bot attacks and hateful message replication. It also gives creators a range of other tools to control their conversations.

Inspired by the early days of social media, before hatred and harassment became commonplace, the platform leverages new forms of engagement to offer a hate-free version of Twitter. Various reputational signal tools are designed to spot users who consistently engage in nefarious activities that violate the rules of the platform and reduce their trustworthiness rating and the visibility of their posts and comments. Users can automatically block accounts with similarly low ratings, incentivising everyone to behave in a civil manner.

With 41% of American adults reporting that they have personally experienced online harassment, according to a 2021 study by Pew Research Center, there is a growing appetite for platforms that avoid the common pitfalls of social media and create more civil online spaces.
