Shopsense launches second-screen shopping platform for TV viewers

Shopsense AI is looking to transform the way viewers interact with television by turning audiences into real-time buyers through shoppable content.

Announced in April 2024, a partnership with major broadcasters Paramount and TelevisaUnivision to integrate second-screen shopping experiences into their programmes saw the innovation showcased during the CMT Music Awards and the Latin American Music Awards, allowing viewers to purchase artist-inspired looks directly as they watched.

Shopsense AI’s platform integrates with TV broadcasts, enabling viewers to shop featured products in real-time. This development caters to the growing trend of interactive and engaging media consumption, where audiences are no longer passive viewers but active participants – often browsing on a second screen as they watch.

Shopsense AI is set to introduce “Shopsense Lense,” a feature that allows consumers to capture images of products they see on their screens and instantly purchase them through the broadcaster’s app. This feature leverages advanced image recognition technology, making the shopping process even more intuitive and immediate.
