Social commerce marketplace Poshmark has introduced a new feature called Posh Lens to its app which enables users to search for secondhand items using photos.
By uploading or capturing a picture of the desired item, shoppers can explore available listings for the exact product or similar alternatives. Posh Lens covers women’s apparel, men’s clothing, shoes and bags.
The tool is powered by artificial intelligence and visual search technology from Naver, a South Korean firm that completed its acquisition of Poshmark in January 2023.
Currently available on iOS and Android for US customers, the company aims to drive traffic to sellers’ digital closets and connect them with potential buyers.
