Pawsitive Café is a mental health haven for dog owners

Pawsitive Café, in Notting Hill, London, is a dog-friendly café offering a welcoming space for dogs and their owners to relax and have fun.

Designed to be a positive and inspiring environment, the café provides designated areas for dogs to play and unwind, as well as rest areas for some quiet time. Owner Alicia, who found solace in spending time with dogs during her struggles with mental health, was inspired to establish the space to give others a place to treat their furry friends.

The mental health aspect of the space is front and centre. Alicia designed the interior with feng shui principles in mind and the café offers a range of relaxing activities including painting by numbers and dried flower pressing, as well as events including talks and puppy yoga. When it comes to dining, Pawsitive Café caters to both dogs and their parents, with canine dishes including the much-loved Pawsitive Puppuccino.

With the growing mental health epidemic affecting more and more consumers in the wake of the pandemic, pets are playing an important supporting role, and brands and retailers should explore how to create spaces that welcome both people and pets.
