Vivrelle, which is an online membership club that allows users to borrow luxury handbags, jewellery and accessories for a monthly fee, has opened its first physical location in New York. Located in the NoMad neighbourhood, it is part physical showroom, where members of its community can see and touch the luxury items they may borrow, and part social club.
The space, which has Wi-Fi throughout, has a number of different relaxation zones, while a central bar serves coffee, tea, wine and cocktails, which can be enjoyed while shopping. The brand also plans to host members-only events in the 14,000-square-foot space, which was designed by interior designer Hilary Matt.
“Our goal was to create an even more enjoyable experience for our community,” says company co-founder Blake Geffen. “This showroom not only acts as an extension of our members’ closets, but offers them a place to spend their time, whether it be relaxing and socialising with friends and other members, a coffee break between meetings or a temporary place of retreat.”
Vivrelle members pay the brand a monthly fee to access its wardrobe of luxury goods. Memberships start at $39 for access to one piece of jewellery per month, while at the top end, Couture+ membership of $279 grants access to two jewellery, handbag and limited edition pieces at a time, including items in Vivrelle’s Couture collection.
