Metaflorist is a digital flower specialty store that offers limited amounts of NFT-based digital flower bouquets and online gift services. However, customers don’t need to have NFT knowledge or have virtual currency, as they can also simply purchase the flowers with dollars (from $24). They can collect these limited edition digital flowers themselves or send them as a present to their loved ones as an original video with a message.
The digital flower store is the brainchild of Azuma Makoto, a flower artist who runs the haute-couture floral shop “Jardins des Fleurs,” which does not generate any loss of flowers. The online store is meant to transcend all borders, offer combinations of plant forms and flowers that cannot be found in real life, pave the way for an environmentally friendly future, and convey the power of flowers that will not change in the future.
