Swedish company Meadow has unveiled its Daisy Top circular packaging system, which combines a reusable plastic bottle holder with aluminium refill cans.
Targeting the cosmetics and personal care industries, the refill concept incorporates aluminium cans of standard size but with no pull tab. Once slotted into the reusable holder, the user simply pushes in the cap to open the can and slots in the tube for the pump dispenser, which audibly clicks into place to confirm it’s in properly. The reusable dispenser aims to provide a more sustainable and mess-free user experience.
With the cosmetics and personal care industry still dominated by unsustainable plastic packaging, Meadow aims to change this with benefits for both consumers and retailers. The system guarantees circularity thanks to pre-existing collection systems for aluminium cans. For consumers, it simplifies being sustainable and allows for a convenient way to practise conscious consumerism.
