LG’s unique MoodUP Fridge allows users to customise its LED doors and play music via its in-built speaker through the LG ThinQ smartphone app. They are able to choose from 22 colours for the upper door panel and 19 colours for the lower in order to change the look of their fridge and kitchen environment according to their daily mood and preference. There are also four different colour themes to choose from: Season, Place, Mood and Pop.
Users can also match their mood, or the fridge’s current colour or theme, with songs from their favourite music streaming apps, or from the Music Collection playlist on the ThinQ app. The MoodUP’s LED panels can also change colours in sync with the music.
When a sensor detects the fridge door has been left open, the panels on the door will blink repeatedly, and when it senses someone approaching, the panels blink in welcome. At night time the doors glow brighter to help midnight snackers to find and open the door.
