Joby Aviation is set to launch an electric air taxi service

Joby is an electric propeller-powered aircraft with vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL).

The company intends to launch a commercial passenger service for up to four passengers in 2025, with a range of up to 100 miles and a speed of 200mph. It produces zero emissions in flight and is far quieter than a helicopter, barely audible above the noise of a city.

Flights from LaGuardia and JFK to a downtown Manhattan helipad will take seven minutes.
The USA based company has raised over $1 billion in funding since being founded in 2019. It is FAA certified and has partnerships with Uber, Garmin, and Toyota.
