BBM Supermarket is a social supermarket in Tokoroa, New Zealand, which allows people going through food insecurity to experience shopping in a dignified way. Shoppers are allocated a number of points they can spend on the grocery items of their choice, rather than being provided with pre-filled food parcels.

Each shelf has colour coding beneath the product, from 0 to 5 points. Single adults are allowed 55 points per shopping trip, small families 65 points, medium families 70 points and large families 75 points.Store visitors are asked to make a small donation, or whatever they can afford.
