Bored Breakfast Club is a digital coffee community that requires members to buy an NFT to take part.
5,000 unique NFTs have been created on the Ethereum blockchain, which all depict a different breakfast-related scene. As well as buying ownership of the NFT, which can be resold on Opensea, the token also gives owners access to a growing online community, live events and a digital content library.
Most interestingly, owners of the NFT will also receive free monthly coffee deliveries from craft roasted coffee company Yes Plz, tying the digital asset with a physical service. The NFT will also give them discounts on additional bags of coffee.
The creators of Bored Breakfast Club suggest that this is the first step in the journey and that the NFT will, in future, grant owners access to a wide range of complementary digital and physical perks.
“We’re completely rethinking the way subscription models have traditionally operated by offering coffee lovers the opportunity to join in on a membership that provides real-world utility and access to a digital coffee community,” said Brad Klemmer, co-founder of Kley, the branding and digital design agency that founded Bored Breakfast Club.
“This is one of the first projects in this space that provides both real-world and digital utility on a consistent basis. Our goal is to not only deliver a high quality, physical product worldwide, but also to continue adding value for our members in a variety of ways.”
