Amazon has introduced a customer review highlight feature that uses generative artificial intelligence (AI) to summarise customer reviews on product pages.
This feature aims to provide customers with concise summaries of product feedback, providing an overview of what different customers think about a product without having to browse through hundreds of separate reviews.
Amazon’s AI technology will synthesise customer reviews into short paragraphs that offer valuable information about the products, featuring input from reviews from verified purchases, ensuring that the feedback used comes from customers who have actually purchased and used the product.
Amazon is initially piloting this feature for select US mobile customers across various product categories. The company plans to expand the tool to cover more product categories and make it available to a broader customer base in the coming months.
