Launched in April 2023, Sune is a livestream shopping platform targeted squarely at Gen Z audiences. On the app, users can buy directly from a personalised feed of creators and brands, with each users’ feed customised based on their purchase history and preferences.
The app is still in the early stages, expecting to emerge from beta in 2024. The platform focuses on creating content that’s entertaining as well as making users want to shop – appealing to a generation of shoppers that’s used to getting things on demand. While most content is shot in one take and is livestreamed, the platform says that a lot of its content is viewed post-live.
Owned by the Qurate Retail Group, which also owns QVC and HSN, marking the group’s attempt to a reach younger audience than its other brands.
