Consumerhaus is an online platform designed for a Gen Z audience offering a curated selection of products and brands across food, beverage, wellness, personal care and pet.
Launched in January 2023, customers are able to navigate the platform based on more traditional categories or by brands and the values they represent, including female founded, sustainable, ethical production, etc.
This approach means that storytelling plays a major role in the shopping experience. Many of the 120 or so brands featured on the site are digitally native and founder-led, Consumerhais runs a Featured Founder series across its social media channels, hosting short video interviews with founders to allow customers to get to know the people and the stories behind the products on the site. This is content creation for the purpose of building an emotional connection with customers.
The values-oriented experience of the site aligns with research showing that Gen Z are more aware of the brand values of products they buy than other generations. Gen Z (22%) are three times more likely than Baby Boomers (7.5%) to say they are very familiar with the brand products they choose.
