Domino’s launches in-car ordering to bolster strong carry-out sales

Domino’s is upgrading its pick-up service by introducing a new app for Apple CarPlay, enabling customers to order directly from their vehicles.

The innovative feature presents a simplified version of the pizza app on the car’s dashboard, offering two convenient ordering options. Users can either ‘tap to order’ from their saved favourites or recent orders, or opt for the ‘call to order’ feature, allowing them to place orders hands-free by speaking to a Domino’s representative.

The main objective is to steer customers away from lengthy drive-thru queues and provide them with a seamless pick-up experience. By using the Domino’s app on CarPlay, customers can enjoy the convenience of staying in their vehicles while placing orders from anywhere, without the frustration of waiting in drive-thru lines.

Christopher Thomas-Moore, Domino’s senior vice president and chief digital officer, expressed the company’s commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction: ‘We understand the frustration of waiting in a drive-thru line just to place an order. The Domino’s app on CarPlay provides a fantastic alternative, allowing customers to stay in their cars, place orders from anywhere, and avoid long drive-thru waits.’

With this innovative app for Apple CarPlay, Domino’s continues to leverage technology to improve the overall customer experience and boost convenience and efficiency.
