Kellogg’s Instabowls are prepackaged, disposable cereal and milk bowls that can be enjoyed by only adding cold water and giving it a stir. They are available with Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops, Apple Jacks, and Raisin Bran Crunch. Kellogg’s advertises the product as a “convenient way to enjoy fan-favourite Kellogg’s cereals outside of the kitchen.”
Chris Stolsky, marketing director at the Kellogg Company, explains further: “We created Kellogg’s Instabowls as an easy solution for the anytime cereal break so you can now bring your favourite Kellogg’s cereals with you wherever life takes you, and not have to worry about milk, dishes, or clean-up.”
The milk in the to-go cereal bowl comes from milk powder, which has been in development for two years, as it took some trial and error to get the powder to turn into milk quickly enough. As a result, the company created a proprietary process.
Kellogg’s Instabowls are currently available in the cereal aisle at Walmart with a suggested retail price of $1.98 and are planned to roll out nationwide.
