Mastercard has partnered with Conservation International to release a series of giftcards with expiry dates that match the predicted dates of extinction of various wild animals.
The ‘Wildlife Impact Cards’ each display an image of an endangered animal. Animals featured include the black and white ruffed lemur, the sunda pangolin and the African forest elephant. The expiry date of each card reflects the date, only a few years in the future, when that species is predicted to die out.
One dollar from every card will be donated to Conservation International.
