Laneige has launched a 3-in-1 cleansing teabag that contains green tea or peppermint leaves alongside a cleansing powder.

Rather than using the teabag to brew tea, it is rubbed directly on the user’s face to improve their skin in three ways.

To cleanse the skin before rinsing, the user can generate foam by soaking the tea bag in warm water and rubbing it with their hands before wiping it over their face.

The formula contains enzyme powder that is great for exfoliation, so it can also be rubbed and massaged into the skin to peel and remove dead skin cells.

Finally, the tea bag can be soaked in water and then left on the skin for a pampering masking session.

The range features two variations. The Green Tea product uses green tea cultivated from Amorepacific’s own green tea garden to moisturise, relive and soften skin for a brighter complexion. It can be used with both warm and cold water and is suitable for all skin types.

Peppermint has antibacterial and sebum control properties that keeps skin looking clear and refreshed, and helps with pore control. It is recommended for use with cold water and is suitable for those with oily skin.

Laneige markets the cleansing teabag as being particularly useful during travel, post-exercise, and to de-stress at the end of the day.

A packet of 10 Laneige 3-in-1 Cleansing Tea Bags retails at KRW1,000 ($1).
