Adidas has teamed up with recycling company I:CO and designer Simone Post to create rugs made from worn-out Adidas sneakers.

The rugs have been created using rubber pellets, manufactured by I:CO from used shoes, and designed by Simone Post in a black and white stripe format that is similar to the Adidas logo. When viewed up close, the pellets feature a range of different colours due to the combination of original shoes they were made from.

Each rug has an Adidas clothes-type label that states: “I:CO ground up used athletic footwear into little pellets so we could make this rug.”

The rugs showcases a creative solution to the issue of wastage caused by used Adidas items.

The rugs were exhibited at the Adidas Store Paris on Champs-Élysées.
